“You are me, and I am you.
Isn’t it obvious that we “inter-are”?
You cultivate the flower in yourself,
so that I will be beautiful.
I transform the garbage in myself,
so that you will not have to suffer.
I support you;
you support me.
I am in this world to offer you peace;
you are in this world to bring me joy.”
Peace & Namaste…

Thich Nhat Hanh is such a profound poet.
He distills so much beauty and wisdom so effortlessly.
I have not read any of his books- just some of his poetry.
His work is on my ever growing reading list.
Have you read any of his books?
Thank you for reading and commenting 😉
Namaste.
He’s quietly blissful, isn’t he? When I find Tibetan Buddhism too harsh; Tich Nhat Hanh’s elegant and gentle presentation of Zen reassures and inspires me.
I’ve only read “Stepping into Freedom’ (gathas and thoughts on the liberating path) cover to cover. But others I dip into include the ‘Miracle of Mindfulness’, ‘Peace is Every Step’, and ‘A Better Way to Live Alone’ (from the sutra). I’m defo going to check out that pocket book though! Cheers for the heads-up!
