Jimi Hendrix: A Beautiful Soul

Soulful Jimi…

Jimi in Musical Nirvana…

Jimi reminds us of the power and beauty of humility.

He reminds us of its place in our lives.

I strive to be humble and I always admire humility in others.

Jimi’s shyness and humility in this video speaks so much about his honorable character.

I just love the shy way Jimi looks downwards when Dick Cavett says he is one of the greatest guitar players…beautiful!

You Are Always Loved Jimi…

“I only know how little I know.”

“I know nothing but the certainty of my own ignorance.”

“All that I know is nothing – and I’m not even sure of that.”

    Socrates (469 – 399 BC)

      Slayer Muser…
Thank you so much for reading and commenting 😉

      I loved your Socrates quote.
I agree that the more you dive into the ocean of truth and wisdom, there less you seem to know.
But that doesn’t stop us truth seekers now doesn’t it?
We keep seeking and learning because the thirst for wisdom and truth is in our blood.
We seek because we simply cannot help it.

      Peace & Namaste…

And it’s what we are supposed to do. The curiosity – relaxed rather than desperate – is what propels us along the path.

        Love.

        Slayer Muser…

        You are right.
It is the curiosity that is the fuel for our intellectual, philosophical, metaphysical, esoteric, existential and spiritual fires.
Curiousity like Alice in Wonderland {which is my favourite fairy tale by the way}.
        Love.

P.s. Please keep the quotes coming 😉

        Well written.

But not too much curiosity. That will kill the… er… Cat.

Can’t remember ‘Alice in Wonderland’. Must re-watch soon. I’m on the semi-biographical ‘Peter Pan’ at the moment. One of the joys of being a new father…

        Love, devotion, feeling, emotion.

[Sure I’ve heard those words in an Enigma song somewhere… :-?]

        Slayer Muser…
Congratulations on being a new father 😉
It must be quite the adventure.
        Fatherhood must be beautiful.

        Peace…

        It’s wonderful and terrible.

“Nothing’s ever for sure, John. That’s the only sure thing I do know.”

Charles (Paul Bettany) in ‘A Beautiful Mind’ (2001).

        Slayer Muse…
Is it Slayer Muser or Muse?
I want to get your name right!
        Please explain your name.
        What does it mean?

In regards to “A Beautiful Mind”…
A mind can indeed be beautiful.

        Peace…

    Slayer Muser.

“Slayer” was my self-annointed nickname from my days with Richmond Cricket Club in London, back in ooooh 2005. It was and continues to be a double entendre:

    1. refers to the writer’s desire and ability to “Slay” (in the nicest possible way) members of the fairer sex – fair maidens. Acquiescent Slayees, if you will. (The Slayer’s weapon was/is- well, you can work it out.)

    2. refers to the writer’s desire and ability to slay bowling attacks to all parts of the ground. (The Slayer’s weapon was/is wooden (no pun) and made of willow; i.e. a cricket bat.)

With genesis of this blog, and the addition of “Muser” or “Musings”, my name is now a quadruple entendre:

    1/2. See above.

    3. “… er Muser”. –> amuser; or “… er Musings”. –> amusings; and

    4. “Muser” or “Musings” speak for themselves really.

    There you have it.

What is your real name? Or is keeping it hidden part of your mysticism?

I don’t believe your first name is “La” / surname “Futura” for a second.

    Love.
