Reflection for today…Laziness Will Stop Your Progress -The Dalai Lama

27 May

“Laziness will stop your progress in your spiritual practice.

One can be deceived by three types of laziness:

the laziness of indolence, which is the wish to procrastinate;

the laziness of inferiority, which is doubting your capabilities;

and the laziness that is attached to negative actions, or putting great effort into nonvirtue.”

-The Dalai Lama

    Yes, but too much business can stop your progress too.

    Balance.

      Slayer Muser…
      Thank you for your comment.
      I am always excited to read them 😉

      You are correct.
      Being too busy can indeed stop your spiritual progress as much as laziness can.
      True spiritual progress can only be made in the middle.

      Buddhism is known as the middle way/path.
      Balance {as you said}…

        … and judging by your second picture above, DL could do with a dose of laziness too.
